Good News to Cheer You Up
These are difficult times that we live in but it is up to you to make the most of the time at hand. Why not read a good book or do a project you have always wanted to do. Decide now to act on what you need to do to get to the place where you want to be in life. Read, ask questions and don't stop until you get what you want. Don't get stuck in a pot-hole. By this I mean some people think they have to make everything perfect before they can move ahead. That kind of thinking could cause you to miss out on what you would really love to be doing.
I think that many people today are afraid of change. I refuse to live life doing the same thing over and over every year. It is a big world out there and by the end of my life, I want to experience as much of it as I can. There is a time and place for everything. We brought up our children in the suburbs of Toronto. When they grew up and moved out we had this big house and it felt empty. We wanted a change. I am living life and enjoying the changes we made. I'm not saying everyone should run out and do what we did. But each person has to decide what is best for their lives. My point is don't let the fear of change stop you from doing what you want to do in life. Change is good and it may surprise you.
A major change in life may seem impossible at first. But if you break any large task into tiny steps, it won't seem hard at all. You may need to get to the top of a ladder, but you only need to take one step at a time. One small step can change your life. Change is easy when you take lots of small steps. Here is an example. Many people think that exercising for 20 minutes they will lose weight. But people who are active and who move a lot are much leaner than people to sit all the time even though they exercise. You don’t need to do hard exercise-just keep moving. It's the same way with any type of change, start taking small steps. Achieving goals in life are the same. You can achieve any goal you want as long as you take the steps into small enough bites you can chew on.
Are you stuck in your current way of living? Great experiences are made from taking the time to look at and do what is important to you in life. Be careful not to place so much value on what you can see in front of you. You have to notice it's the things that are invisible to you are what will bring you the most joy in life. Then what seems completely obvious will be made clear. Sometimes the choice is a difficult one. But it is more difficult to imagine how you could be missing something so important in life as to what is most valuable to you. Life is in the details of living it. A friend once told me that he would rather listen to his buddy tell him the stories of his experiences while on vacation than go on vacation himself. Why? Because his buddy had traveled a lot and learned to noticed every little detail to get the most out of his experiences. A life half lived is half a life. As I have said before, at the end of my life I want valuable memories, you won't be able to do much with just valuable possessions. True breakthroughs in life come when you don't allow your circumstances to control what you know in your heart you wish to do.
What kind of building are you putting up in your life, is one that is going to tell a great story one day, or is it a dud that is going to fall flat? I would rather go out and make history than watch the history channel. What you do with your life is up to you, no one is going to force you into it. Decide that you are going to have something to treasure.
Quote of the day-
“When you have to make a choice and don't make it, that is in itself a choice.”-William James.
Jokes for the day-
“I told my wife that she was drawing her eyebrows a little too high. ..............She looked surprised.”
“Did you know that the world champion “tongue twister” just got arrested. I heard they were going to give him a really tough sentence.”
“The closest I” ve ever come to perfection when I filled out a resume.”
It's spring 2050 and I just opened the last roll of toilet paper that I bought during the 2020 virus outbreak.
Market news-In layman's terms)-
Despite the current situation the market seems to have picked up. Prices will increase as this year progresses. There is not a flood of homes for sale on the market right now so it is a good time for sellers. Condo price increases have outpaced homes sales a bit this year which is surprising.
Book of the Month-
